The meeting was called to order by Lori at 2:40. The sole purpose of this meeting is to complete an application to the Community Planning Commission (CPC) for funds that would cover the costs of placing a mat from the far end of First Encounter parking lot to Hatch’s Beach/Herring River (known locally as Bee’s River). The approximate cost, as quoted by the firm that currently supplies Eastham with these mats, is $25,000. Aimee distributed 3 copies of a Town form that requires signatures from our Committee members.
Using information/data obtained from the Beaches and Recreation Department, the 2010 Housing Production Plan, and anecdotal information, the application was drafted and approved/completed by the Committee members present. (See attached document.) Twelve copies of the application, together with a map identifying the specific site, will be submitted to the CPC on 11/30/12 by Lori.
Next Meeting: As noted in the previous meeting minutes, given the proximity to the holidays, our next meeting has been scheduled for January 16th, 2013 at 1 pm in the Small Meeting Room.
